Why Sarasota?

Hey there! Thanks for joining us as we kick off our blog! We are so excited to be sharing this journey with you. It has been so great to meet so many awesome individuals and families over the past few months! We will be keeping you updated throughout this fun process.

So the first question we normally get asked is Why Sarasota? With over 20,000+ cities in the US, why did we pick Sarasota? The amazing part about what we do is that we can do it anywhere! Anywhere in the US, or even better: anywhere in the WORLD.

If you have ever stepped foot on Siesta Key’s powder sugar sand, you know exactly why.

Fun fact: the sand in Siesta is composed of 99% pure quartz, keeping it nice and cool under your toes! How cool is that?

As exciting as that is, it’s not the only reason we chose here.

One fascinating thing we have found so far is that so many people have moved here. We have neighbors from all over the states, especially the states that snow, because lets face it, sunshine makes us happier people. This cultural mixture creates a fun environment because with them, they bring different foods, different traditions, and a sort of quirky atmosphere to the city. Here in Sarasota, people say that it is a “cultural mecca”, with year round activities, showcases, music, arts, and festivals, there is always something to do!

Sarasota is also rich in history, ranging from buildings, to churches, to the circus. But one little piece of history that is most exciting for us is BJ Palmer and Sid Williams’ Historic houses! These 2 houses are side by side, just a few blocks from St. Armand's circle.

So who are these guys and why is this so special? Well BJ Palmer is known as the “Developer of Chiropractic,” and he lived in the house during his final years. Dr. Sid Williams is actually the founder of Life University where Dr. Anthony and Dr. Jina both went to school! I know what you're thinking and yes that is so awesome!

So what we are trying to say is that Sarasota, Florida is pretty much Paradise! Which is actually what attracted us the most. We have a chance to live and thrive in paradise, but in order for people to enjoy this amazing city to the fullest they need their most important asset… their health! What’s so great about living close to the beach with beautiful weather year round if you are too sick or in too much pain to enjoy it? Did you know that there are over 40 Hospitals and urgent care centers from Bradenton to Venice? In 2010, the Florida Prescription Drug Monitoring Program found that 90 of the top 100 physicians purchasing oxycodone were located in Florida! For Revitalize Chiropractic, that means that we have a lot of work to do! We know that true health is not only about keeping people out of the hospitals and off medication, but it’s about getting back to what we enjoy the most, spending time with family, walking on the beach, enjoying an evening on Main Street on the way to a great restaurant, fishing, boating and so much more! That is our mission here in Sarasota. We have been called to Paradise to help change the lives of this community so that kids, adults, and seniors can also love where they live and have the health to do whatever they desire!
